Running with Turbo
The warmer weather is here and it is time to hit the track. We could all use a little extra motivation to work on our running and Turbo has graciously offered us that motivation. We are adding a track session to the schedule. This will an hour session held every week on Saturdays at 9:00. Each week we will meet at CRCF and walk up to the track for a programmed interval track WOD.
Your participation in this extra track work does not count as one of your classes for the week. It is just an extra opportunity to meet up with other members and work on something we all have a hard time doing alone.

Thank you Turbo for taking the initiative to set this up for all of us.
I know some of you (okay – most of you) are cringing at the thought of track intervals, but I promise it’s not so bad! If you are interested in training for a 5K, 10K, or maybe a half marathon this Spring, speed work will definitely help you get a new PR. These workouts are NOT sprinting competitions; intervals are for learning how to pace yourself (through a little pain), and, ideally, your last interval should be as fast as your first. No one is going to be impressed if you take off at a 5:30min/mi pace for the first one, and then have to walk the last interval! I recommend starting at your 5K pace, and then adjusting your speed if you feel like it. Bring running shoes, a water bottle, and a stop-watch if you have one. This should be FUN, so come join us this weekend!
Mother's Day Workout
As I hope you all remember it is Mother's Day on Sunday! Sunday is our Mothers Day WOD. It will be a partner WOD and we expect a big turnout for the workout so bring Mom and show her a great time CRCF style! There will be no open platform or free intro on Sunday so there will be the usual advanced WOD at 7:30 and our usual 9:00 class.

Coach Mel
It is with great sadness that we must announce that Melissa with be leaving CRCF. For the next few weeks, Melissa will be transitioning her classes and we anticipate that she will be leaving at the end of the month. Melissa is a founding member of CRCF, and her leadership has helped grow CRCF into a flourishing community with more than 150 members. We will miss her leadership and vision but we wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors.
